Thank you all so far for the great ideas! We may have to take a vote if the names keep rolling in! We're going to extend the deadline another week to see what else comes our way... Well done!

I would call your children's site, "George & Martha's House." Exploring a well-designed site is like visiting a gracious home - you can't wait to peek into the next room and see what there is to discover. I would also put a pet in the president's house. Presidential pets have long captured the imagination of American children, both the young and the young at heart. We know that prancing about Mount Vernon, accompanying the president on morning jaunts across the estate, were "French Hounds" - seven short dogs Lafayette sent from France. They were basset hounds, the adorable, flop-eared dogs of Hush Puppy fame. Give President Washington an endearing puppy, following at his heels and popping up in view at opportune moments, and you will fix a child's attention in a powerful way. (Nothing makes a larger-than-life figure accessible like a friendly little dog, happily wagging his tail at his master's side.) Contemporary education must consider imaginative ways to attract the eye and engage the mind of a student. Even Norman Rockwell admitted that he frequently relied on one visual tool for adding warmth to a painting: "Throw in a puppy."

My suggestion is simple and obvious, so there is a high likelihood it's already been put out there.
How about "Virtual Vernon"?
I can see my students using the name with ease. It is descriptive and clearly connected to the estate.

I'm looking forward to being able to share the site with my students this fall!
