VIDEO: Behind the Scenes With Martha

Today, June 2, 2011, is Martha Washington’s 280th birthday. In light of the special occasion we sat down with the the modern-day woman behind Mount Vernon’s first lady to ask what it’s like portraying such a well-known character. Check it out above.

  1. Robin Friedman Says:

I agree that the portraits we have today (like the general too) don’t do justice to the marvelous Mrs. Washington. I especially love the portrait of her on the cover of Patricia Brady’s biography. She was a fine lady with incredible character who was a true friend to the general.
